This Privacy Policy explains how BALANCE (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application. By using BALANCE, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

If you use BALANCE without signing in, your financial data is stored locally on your device (SQLite). We do not receive that content unless you later sign in and choose to sync it to the cloud.

Data synced to the cloud is stored and processed by Google on servers that may be located outside your country (including the United States). Google provides appropriate safeguards for international transfers as described in its documentation and terms.

Signing out is not the same as deleting your account. Sign-out may keep cloud data and optionally keep local data on your device.

You can also clear local transactions from the app without deleting your cloud account.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS/TLS for data in transit, Firebase security rules for cloud access control, and local storage on your device protected by your device’s operating system. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your device and Google account.

BALANCE is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
